UPSC CSE Notification 2024

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Civil Services Examination 2024 notification, and eligible candidates are asked to submit online application forms. This year, Forest Services will also be filled up through the CSE Exam.

 

The application process for the UPSC Exam started on 14th February 2024 and will be closed on 5th March 2024. The preliminary examination of UPSC is scheduled on 26th May 2024.

 

Candidates can apply the application form online through the official website of UPSC. UPSC CSE Exam: Apply Online

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination (CSE) is one of India’s most prestigious and toughest exams. Thousands of aspirants are appearing for this exam every year.

Through this exam, UPSC recruited the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other central services.

As we approach the UPSC CSE 2024, aspirants must understand the application process, application fees, and steps to apply to ensure a smooth and error-free submission.

Educational Qualifications

The candidate must hold a Graduate degree from a recognized University or possess an equivalent qualification. Candidates in their final year or awaiting results can apply for the Preliminary Examination.

 

Age Limit

The candidate must be at least 21 years of age and must not have attained the age of 32 on the 1st of August of the year of examination.

 

Number of Attempts

  • General category candidates: 6 attempts.
  • OBC candidates: 9 attempts.
  • SC/ST candidates: Unlimited attempts till the age limit.
  • Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 9 attempts for general and OBC, while unlimited for SC/ST.

Application Fee

  • General/EWS/OBC Candidates (Male) – ₹100
  • SC/ST/PwBD Candidates and Female Candidates (All Categories) – No Fee
  • Candidates can pay the fee online via the net banking facility of various banks or by using Visa/MasterCard/Rupay Credit/Debit Card.


Steps to Apply Online for UPSC CSE 2024

 

Visit the Official UPSC Website: Candidates should visit the official UPSC website www.upsc.gov.in and click on the “Apply Online” button. For new users, a one-time registration (OTR) is required.

Fill in the Basic Details: In the next step, you have to fill in the basic personal information such as name, date of birth, and contact details. This step is crucial for setting up your profile for the UPSC examinations.

Submit and Proceed: After verifying the information, submit your details to proceed. A registration ID will be generated, which is vital for future reference.

Complete the Application Form: Fill in the detailed application form, including educational qualifications, choice of exam center, and other relevant details. Ensure that you are putting all the details accurately.

Upload Required Documents: Candidates must upload their photograph, signature, and photo ID proof as part of the application process.
